Mariel Hemingway plays Dorothy Stratten, a 17-year-old model from Vancouver who becomes a Playboy Playmate and eventually leaves her marriage to Paul Snider, played by Eric Roberts, after she begins an affair with film director Aram Nicholas, portrayed by Roger Rees. The story of their tumultuous relationship unfolds in a series of flashbacks, interspersed with documentary-style interviews and Paul's rants about the events leading up to his wife's murder.
