Biography

Richard Garrick was an Irish-born American actor and director born on December 27, 1878, in Portlaw, County Waterford, Ireland. He began his career as a tailor before serving in the U.S. Army from 1898 to 1900. In the early 20th century, Garrick transitioned to stage productions and later moved to Los Angeles, becoming a charter member of The Reel Club by 1912, marking the beginning of his film career.
