Biography

Farrukh Jaffar was a renowned Indian actress and radio presenter in Bollywood, born in 1933 in Chakesar village of Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh. She began her career as a radio announcer in 1963 with Vividh Bharti before making her screen debut at age 49. Jaffar gained widespread recognition for her critically successful film roles, including Swades and Gulabo Sitabo, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress at 88 years old.
