Oleksiy Horbunov

Biography

Oleksiy Gorbunov, born on October 29, 1961, in Kyiv, began his acting career with a diploma from the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University in 1984. He worked with renowned director Oleksandr Dovzhenko from 1984 to 1995, alongside serving in the Soviet Army from 1985 to 1987. Noted for his stage and screen roles, Gorbunov holds Honored Artist of Ukraine (1991) and People's Artist of Ukraine (2016) distinctions.
