Eddy Chandler was a prolific American actor who appeared in over 300 films, including iconic Best Picture winners It Happened One Night (1934), You Can't Take It with You (1938), and Gone with the Wind (1939). Born in Wilton Junction, Iowa, he served in World War I before turning to acting. Chandler's notable roles include Sergeant in "Return of the Ape Man" (1944) and Kansas Charlie/Rev. Harry Smith in "The Desert Trail" (1935).
