Sergey Makovetskiy

Biography

Sergei Makovetsky was born on June 13, 1958, in Darnitsa, a suburb of Kiev, Ukraine. Despite initial rejections, he found success at the Shchukin Theatrical School and became a member of Moscow's Vakhtangov Theatre company. He has since earned critical acclaim for stage roles like Amphitrion and Trigorin, as well as film appearances in Dutch director Jos Stelling's "Duska" and Aleksei Balabanov's "Blind Man's Bluff".
