Yumeji Tsukioka

Biography

Yumeji Tsukioka was a Japanese film actress known for her work in over 150 films between 1940 and 1994. She starred alongside renowned directors such as Yasujirō Ozu, Keisuke Kinoshita, and Kinuyo Tanaka. Her notable roles include Fumiko Shimojô in "Forever a Woman" (1955) and Yodo Gimi in "Love Under the Crucifix" (1962). She was married to director Umetsugu Inoue from 1957 until his death in 2010.
