Willie Fung
Biography
Willie Fung was a Chinese-American character actor who played supporting roles in 125 American films from 1922 to 1944. Born in Canton, China, he began his career on stage in San Francisco before moving to Los Angeles, where he made his film debut in 1922. He often played Japanese characters due to the era's racist typecasting of Chinese actors. Fung died at age 49 in a coronary occlusion in Los Angeles.
