Biography
Eijirō Yanagi was a Japanese stage and film actor who gained recognition for his supporting roles in notable films of the 1950s and 1960s, working alongside directors such as Kenji Mizoguchi, Yasujiro Ozu, and Akira Kurosawa. He received prestigious awards for his contributions to theatre, including the Medal with Purple Ribbon and the Order of the Rising Sun, Fourth Class. Yanagi's final performances took place in 1982 on stage and 1975 in film.
