The Tale of Zatoichi

In feudal Japan, a blind, gambling masseur and master swordsman named Zatoichi is hired as muscle for the yakuza, but he's not your typical fighter - his reputation as a skilled swordsman precedes him. With a distinguished past and a humble demeanor that belies his deadly skills, Zatoichi targets a yakuza-controlled village, where war with a neighboring town's smaller gang is brewing, pitting him against a fellow outcast, Miki Hirate, who has his own reasons for seeking battle.
