Biography

Pai Ying, born Wang Jing-Chun in 1940 or 1941, is a Taiwanese actor known for his roles in King Hu's films, including "The Hatchery of the Monarch" (1967) and "Vengeful Spirit" (1969). He joined Golden Harvest Film Company in 1971 and appeared in numerous low-budget kung-fu and wuxia films throughout the 1980s. Pai earned a Golden Horse Award for Best Actor for his role in "The Valiant Ones" (1974) and also starred in the Hong Kong blockbuster "Dynasty" (1977).
