Biography

Berton Churchill was a Canadian stage and film actor born in Toronto on December 9, 1876. He began his acting career as early as 1903 with stock companies and eventually landed small parts on Broadway, making his first appearance in The Barber of New Orleans in 1909. A discovery by E.F. Albee boosted his career, leading to a long-standing association with the summer stock company at Pawtucket.
