Kid Millions

In this 1934 musical comedy, Eddie Cantor stars as a Brooklyn boy who inherits $77 million from his archaeologist father and must travel to Egypt to claim it, only to find himself caught up in a series of zany misadventures with con artist Ann Sothern, her dim-witted gangster boyfriend George Murphy, and a cast of colorful characters. Along the way, Eddie befriends a beautiful niece (Ethel Merman) who is also after the fortune, leading to plenty of romance, slapstick humor, and musical numbers in this elaborate Technicolor production.
