Ayumu Nakajima, born October 7, 1988, in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, grew up in Tokyo and pursued a degree in literature from Nihon University, where he was part of a rakugo study group. He began modeling while still in college but soon transitioned to acting, making his debut on stage in April 2013. Nakajima's breakout role came in 2014 with the series Hanako and Anne, earning him the Best New Actor award at the 7th Tama Film Awards.
