Larry Storch was born in New York City in 1923 to a Jewish family and began performing as a teenager, earning $12 a week as a comic at local venues. After serving in the US Navy during WWII, he met comedian Phil Harris and landed an opening act gig on Lucille Ball's show, paving the way for his career. Storch went on to appear in several notable films and TV shows, including F Troop, where he earned an Emmy nomination.
