The Flight of Dragons

In a medieval fantasy world, the green wizard Carolinus notices that magic is fading as humanity embraces logic and science. He summons three magical brothers to create a "last realm of magic" to protect fantastic creatures from destruction. The Blue Wizard Solarius agrees to join forces, but the Red Wizard Ommadon resolves to infect mankind with vice. Carolinus sends Peter Dickinson, a man of science and magic, on a quest to defeat Ommadon, accompanied by knights, elves, and other fantastical creatures. Along the way, Peter learns about magic from Carolinus' elder dragon companion Smrgol, teaching him how to fly and breathe fire using scientific principles.
