He appeared in over 150 films between 1952 and 1980, with notable appearances in Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western production A Fistful of Dollars and films opposite Lee Van Cleef. After the Spaghetti Western era, Calvo transitioned to primarily Spanish films, including comedy roles that showcased his versatility.
