Tristana

In the 1970 drama film Tristana, Catherine Deneuve plays the young woman Tristana, who is taken under the guardianship of Don Lope (Fernando Rey), a notorious nobleman. Tristana finds her voice and demands independence as she falls in love with artist Horacio (Franco Nero). After a series of challenges, Tristana breaks free from Don Lope's grasp, but not before he suffers a heart attack, and the film ends with a poignant montage of scenes.
