This provocative surrealist comedy-drama follows Viridiana, a young nun on the cusp of taking her final vows, as she is sent to visit her aging uncle Don Jaime, who funded her education and bears an uncanny resemblance to her deceased mother. Unbeknownst to Viridiana, her uncle harbors disturbing desires that threaten to upend her carefully laid plans, culminating in a shocking turn of events that force her to reevaluate her faith and her place in the world.
