Biography

Steven Hill was a prolific American actor, best known for his iconic roles as district attorney Adam Schiff on NBC's Law & Order (1990–2000) and Dan Briggs on CBS's Mission: Impossible (1966–1967). His performances earned him two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Hill also had notable film roles in The Goddess, Running on Empty, and Billy Bathgate, among others. He passed away on August 23, 2016.
