Derek Fowlds

Biography

Derek James Fowlds was a British actor born on September 2, 1937, in Wandsworth, London. He began his career after winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 1958 and made his West End debut in The Miracle Worker. Notable roles include Dan Winthrop in "Tower of Evil" (1972), Bernard Woolley in the sitcoms "Yes Minister" and "Yes, Prime Minister," and Sgt Oscar Blaketon in the television series "Heartbeat."
