We Joined the Navy

In this 1962 British comedy film directed by Wendy Toye and starring Kenneth More, we follow Lieutenant Commander Robert Bollinger Badger, an exceptionally likeable naval officer known for his shining honesty, which often gets him into trouble at the worst possible moments. The Artful Bodger is sent to instruct at the Royal Naval College and later becomes exchange officers to the flagship of the United States Sixth Fleet, where he must navigate a series of humorous misadventures that set back Anglo-American relations until they go ashore to a nation in the midst of revolution.
