Biography

Elya Baskin is a Latvian-American character actor born on August 11, 1950, in Riga, Latvia, to Frieda and Zalman Baskin. He attended Moscow's prestigious Theatre and Variety Arts College, winning a Festival of Young Actors Award at the Moscow Comedy Theatre. A natural fit for Eastern European roles due to his ancestry and accent, Baskin has built a successful career in TV, film, and video games, including notable appearances in "Supervized," "The Hive," and "Spider-Man 2."
