Raise the Titanic

In this 1980 adventure film, an American spy discovers byzanium, a rare mineral crucial in nuclear warfare, was mined in Northern Siberia and shipped to the Titanic before its ill-fated maiden voyage. Dirk Pitt, a government operative, teams up with President John Sandecker to devise a plan to raise the Titanic from the ocean floor to obtain the valuable cargo before the Soviets can claim it. The daring salvage mission faces numerous challenges, but ultimately, they successfully bring the iconic ship back to the surface, only to discover that no byzanium was ever on board.
