David Prowse

Biography

David Charles Prowse was a British actor and athlete born in Bristol on July 1, 1935. He gained recognition for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy and a manservant in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. Before his iconic roles, Prowse worked as a superhero figure in road safety media, known as the Green Cross Man.
