Biography

Darry Cowl was a French actor and musician born on August 27, 1925, in Vittel. He gained celebrity status with roles in "Le Triporteur" (1957) and "Assassins et voleurs" (1956), before winning a César Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2004 for his role as a concierge in Pas sur la bouche. A game addict, he often acted solely for money in films that didn't stretch his acting ability. He died at 80 from lung cancer complications in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 2006.
