Biography

Kō Nishimura was a Japanese actor who made his film debut in 1951 and went on to win the Blue Ribbon Award for best supporting actor in 1964 for Unholy Desire. He also won the Mainichi Film Awards' Best Actor award in 1982 for Matagi. In Japan, he is well known for playing the title role in the long-running television series Mito Kōmon from 1983 to 1992.
