Biography

Amy Irving is a talented American actress and singer born on September 10, 1953, to acting parents Jules Irving and Priscilla Pointer. She made her Broadway debut at age 13 in The Country Wife (1965–1966) and later studied theater at the American Conservatory Theater and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Irving's notable film roles include Carrie (1976), The Fury (1978), and Yentl (1983), for which she earned an Academy Award nomination.
