Al Lettieri

Biography

Alfred Lettieri was a versatile actor who made his screen debut at 36 in the television film The Hanged Man. He gained recognition for his chilling portrayal of Virgil Sollozzo in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather, cementing his reputation as a master of menace. Lettieri also acted alongside Hollywood legends Steve McQueen and John Wayne, and co-starred with Marlon Brando and Al Pacino in the film. He died at 47 in 1975.
