Jimmie Walker is an American actor and comedian born on June 25, 1947. He is best known for his role as James Evans Jr., aka J.J., on the CBS television series Good Times (1974-1979). Walker was nominated for two Golden Globe awards for his portrayal and popularized the catchphrase "Dy-no-mite!", which he also used in commercials and later in a 2021-2023 Medicare announcement.
