Michael Vincenzo Gazzo was an American playwright and actor born on April 5, 1923. He gained recognition for his role in The Godfather: Part II (1974), earning a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Before transitioning to acting, Gazzo wrote the Broadway play A Hatful of Rain, which ran for 389 performances and was adapted into a film starring Anthony Franciosa.
