Lara Wendel is a retired German-Italian actress of American descent, born Daniela Rachele Barnes on March 29, 1965, in Munich. She began her career as a model at four and made her film debut at seven in the 1972 giallo film My Dear Killer. Notable early roles include The Perfume of the Lady in Black (1974) and the erotic drama Maladolescenza (1977), which marked her transition to more mature roles.
