James Edwards

Biography

James Johnson Edwards was a notable American actor in films and television, best known for his portrayal of Private Peter Moss in the 1949 film Home of the Brave, which depicted an African American soldier's experiences with racial prejudice during World War II. He also appeared in notable roles in "Coogan's Bluff," "The Manchurian Candidate," and "Pork Chop Hill." Edwards served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army during WWII.
