Roger Hanin is a French actor and film director, born in Algiers on October 20, 1925, to Jewish parents. He co-wrote scripts for Claude Chabrol's spy films, starring as Le Tigre, before enjoying renewed popularity in France with roles in Le Coup de Sirocco (1979) and Hell Train (1985). From 1989 to 2006, he played the title character in the TV series Navarro.
