La galette du roi

In this lighthearted comedy, nearly bankrupt businessman Victor Harris (Roger Hanin) is marrying Maria-Helena, a princess from Corsalina, who brings a dowry that includes half of her kingdom. The marriage is arranged to pay off King Arnold III's (Jean Rochefort) substantial gambling debts. As the wedding preparations unfold, other characters add some humor to the story, including L'élégant (Jean-Pierre Bacri) and Prince Utte de Danemark (Jacques Villeret).
