Harve Presnell was a versatile American actor and singer who began his career as a classical baritone in the mid-1950s, singing with orchestras and opera companies nationwide. His breakthrough role came in 1960 when Meredith Willson cast him in The Unsinkable Molly Brown, earning him a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of Leadville Johnny. Presnell later experienced a resurgence in his movie career in the 1990s, appearing in films like Fargo and Saving Private Ryan before his death in 2009.
