Face/Off

FBI Special Agent Sean Archer survives an assassination attempt by Castor Troy, a terrorist-for-hire, but the bullet kills his son Michael. Archer then engages in an extended vendetta against Troy, culminating six years later in his team ambushing Troy on a remote desert airstrip. Archer undergoes a highly experimental face transplant procedure to take on Castor's face, voice, and appearance, allowing him to infiltrate Troy's prison and gather information about a bomb set to explode in Los Angeles. As Castor awakens from his coma, he discovers his face is missing, and the two engage in a cat-and-mouse game of psychological manipulation and violence, with Archer struggling to maintain his cover while seeking revenge for the death of his son.
