Biography

Anémone was a French actress and screenwriter who won the César Award for Best Actress in 1988 for her role as Marcelle in Le Grand Chemin. She gained popularity in France with successful comedies such as Santa Claus is a Stinker, before taking on more serious roles like Le Quart d'Heure Américain and Le Mariage Du Siècle. Anémone was also an advocate for ecological and social causes, and announced her retirement from acting in 2017. She died in 2019 at the age of 68.
