Lea DeLaria
Biography
Lea DeLaria is an American comedian, actress, and jazz singer born on May 23, 1958, in Belleville, Illinois. She began her stand-up career in San Francisco's Mission District in 1982 and became the first openly gay comic to appear on American television in a 1993 appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show. DeLaria has since appeared in notable roles such as Carrie "Big Boo" Black on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black and Psychic Madame Delphina on One Life to Live.
