Ingvar Hirdwall was a Swedish actor born on December 5, 1934, in Stockholm. He was educated at the Gothenburg City Theatre stage school from 1957 to 1960 and went on to have a prolific career in films, TV series, and theatrical stages, particularly with Stockholm City Theatre and Oscarsteatern. Hirdwall is best known for his roles as Pettson in the Swedish Martin Beck TV-movies and as lawyer Dirch Frode in Lars Molin's Millennium film adaptations.
