Frank De Kova

Biography

Frank DeKova was born on March 17, 1910, in New York, and initially pursued a teaching career before transitioning to the stage and eventually Hollywood. He gained recognition for his roles as a menacing character actor, including a villainous Mexican colonel in Viva Zapata! (1952) and a scheming Hekawi Chief Wild Eagle in F Troop (1965). DeKova also showcased comedic talent in this role, stealing scenes from established veterans.
