Carloto Cotta is a Portuguese actor born on January 31, 1984, in Paris. He began his acting training at the Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais at 15 and made his film debut in Miguel Gomes' 31 (2003). Cotta gained international recognition for his roles in Tabu (2012) and Diamantino (2018), for which he won a best actor award at the 2019 Portuguese Golden Globes.
