Luther Adler
Biography
Luther Adler was born Lutha Adler on May 4, 1903, in New York City to Russian-Jewish actors Sara and Jacob P. Adler, who were among the founders of the Yiddish theater in America. He began his acting career at age 5 in a Yiddish play and later became one of the original members of the Group Theatre in 1931. Adler's Broadway debut came in 1921 with "The Hand of the Potter," marking the beginning of a prolific stage and screen career that spanned over six decades.
