Allan Rich was a character actor and activist born Benjamin Norman Schultz on February 8, 1926. He was blacklisted in the 1950s Hollywood blacklist for alleged communist sympathies, yet continued to act, including notable roles in "Quiz Show" and "The Rich Man's Wife." Rich co-founded the non-profit organization We Care About Kids, producing educational short films for middle and high school youths.
