The Entity

Carla Moran (Barbara Hershey) is a single mother who is violently raped by an invisible assailant in her Los Angeles bungalow. She seeks help from a psychiatrist, Dr. Phil Sneiderman (Ron Silver), who initially attributes her experiences to childhood trauma, but she knows something supernatural is at play. As Carla's attacks continue, Dr. Sneiderman becomes increasingly skeptical, but she is eventually convinced by parapsychologists who witness paranormal events at her home. In a desperate attempt to trap the entity, Carla participates in an elaborate experiment, but it unexpectedly backfires, and Dr. Sneiderman saves her just in time.
