Shinya Tsukamoto
Biography
Shinya Tsukamoto is a Japanese filmmaker and actor born on January 1, 1960. He rose to international recognition with his body horror/cyberpunk film Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989), considered the defining film of the Japanese Cyberpunk movement. Tsukamoto has also appeared in films by prominent directors including Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino, cementing his influence on popular Western filmmakers.
