José Luis Gómez García is a Spanish actor and theater director born on April 19, 1940, in Huelva. He has appeared in numerous films since 1968 and won the Best Actor award at the 1976 Cannes Film Festival for his role in "Pascual Duarte." A member of the Real Academia Española and honorary member of the Academia de las Artes Escénicas de España, he has also had notable roles in "Official Competition," "El 7º día," and "Roads to the South".
