Collin Wilcox Paxton

Biography

Collin Randall Wilcox was an American actress born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who grew up in North Carolina and developed a passion for theater thanks to her parents' founding of the Highlands Community Theater. She attended the University of Tennessee and began her career with The Compass Players, winning the Clarence Derwent Award. Notably, she played Mayella Violet Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), opposite Gregory Peck, and also appeared in the films "Jaws 2" (1978) and "Foxfire" (1987).
