Bogusława Pawelec was born on June 22, 1954, in Gdansk, Poland, and graduated from the Acting School in Lodz in 1978. She debuted as a theatre actress in 1977 and has since become a leading figure at the Lodz Theatre Jarocin. Pawelec won the prestigious Golden Mask award in 1997 for her role in "Battle of Lonely Ones".
