Macha Méril is a French actress and writer born on September 3, 1940, to a Russian princely house Gagarin father and a Ukrainian noble family mother. With a prolific career spanning 125 films between 1959 and 2012, she collaborated with notable directors Jean-Luc Godard, Luis Buñuel, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Méril is perhaps best known for her roles in Dario Argento's Deep Red and Aldo Lado's Night Train Murders (1975).
